(CNN) — The historic center of the Ukrainian port city of Odesa and sites in Yemen and Lebanon were added to the World Heritage List Wednesday by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

All three sites were simultaneously added to UNESCO’s List of World Heritage in Danger.

Tuesday morning, GE (ticker: GE) announced adjusted earnings of $1.24 a share from sales of $21 billion.

Earnings and cash flow during the period looked solid. Wall Street was looking for earnings per share of $1.15 from sales of about $21.3 billion. A year ago, GE reported earnings per share of 72 cents from $20.3 billion in sales.

Why the flood of air traveller complaints has resulted in few fines against the airlines

Experts are calling on the agency responsible for enforcing air passenger protection rules to be more aggressive with fines when airlines run afoul of those regulations.
