Former Central Falls Mayor James Diossa, Now General Treasurer-elect

GoLocalProv.com has filed a formal complaint with Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha’s office regarding the City of Central Falls’ refusal to comply with the Rhode Island Access to Public Records Act (APRA). 

The complaint stems from a GoLocal investigation into former Central Falls Mayor Diossa’s travel while in office and subsequent lack of financial documentation for his more than 30 trips domestically and internationally.

NASA launched the Artemis I mission from Florida at 1:47 a.m. ET on Wednesday morning, with the agency’s most powerful rocket ever kicking off a nearly month-long journey with a ground-shaking liftoff.

While no astronauts are onboard, the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket carried the Orion capsule to space in a demonstration for NASA’s lunar program. Artemis I will not land on the moon, but the spacecraft will orbit nearby before returning to Earth in 26 days.

UVA shooting: Suspected gunman was on the bus with victims returning from a Washington DC trip, school spokesperson says

The suspected gunman in the University of Virginia shooting was on a class field trip with the victims before the shooting occurred, a UVA spokesman confirmed Tuesday.

Christopher Darnell Jones Jr., was on the bus returning from a trip to Washington, DC, where the class had seen a play, UVA spokesperson Brian Coy said.

Until Tuesday night, it was not known whether Jones was on the trip or if he was even on the bus prior to the shooting. Police are still trying to piece together what could have led to the deaths of three UVA football players.
