Speaking on Camp Bestival Dorset’s Line-up announcement, Camp Bestival curators Josie & Rob da Bank said: “Who says November is dull and boring!? Just look at what we’ve got for you happy campers – something for everyone from young to old and it’s all happening at our 15th birthday party! Prepare to make some seriously strong memories at our beautiful castle by the sea from the iconic Grace Jones and party starter Craig David through to perennial faves Horrible Histories, Junior Jungle and you have to pull a cracker at East 17s Christmas Party. And never forget… We Are Family!”

Needing no introduction is the iconic, pioneering queen of pop, Grace Jones. With a career spanning near to 5 decades consisting of 10 studio albums and hits including ‘Slave to the Rhythm’ and ‘Pull Up to the Bumper’, fans can expect an extravagant and wildly fun performance.

R&B legend Craig David will bring his hugely popular TS5 set to Dorset combing huge old-school anthems with current chart house hits ready to ignite the crowds at Lulworth Castle. The Kooks complete a trio of incredible headliners and are guaranteed to bring the fun with classic hits including ‘She Moves In Her Own Way’ and ‘Naïve’.

Fresh from her Guinness World Record success at Camp Bestival Dorset 2022, disco diva and festival favourite Sophie Ellis-Bextor joins the line-up alongside 90s pop icon Melanie C who will provide the 90s nostalgia with a sprinkle of Spice Girls classics and East 17 will bring Christmas to Dorset in July with a special festive performance. Currently topping playlists the world over, Confidence Man will also join the line-up to perform hit songs from their feel-good party album including the chart-topping ‘Holiday’. Still riding high from his huge success at this year’s Eurovision song contest, Sam Ryder will take to the Camp Bestival stage and X Factor star and singer-songwriter Ella Henderson will entertain crowds with her huge pop hits.

Speaking on the Camp Bestival line-up, East 17 said “Who says you can’t start the Christmas spirit in summer? We can’t wait to bring an East 17 festive extravaganza to Dorset for our Camp Bestival debut! Pull out the white puffer jackets and see you on the fields.”

Camp Bestival favourites The Cuban Brothers will make an appearance as will the original reggae selector David Rodigan, an all-round DJ legend who received the Camp Bestival honour of ‘Resident for Life’ over a decade ago. Jo Whiley also returns to the Camp Bestival line up with a jam-packed set of festival anthems.

The fun continues with a sensational line-up of family favourites to delight crowds over a jam packed four days. From Cosmic Kids Yoga with Jaime to mischief and singalongs from Mr Tumble and Junior Jungle, Dick and Dom, Mister Maker, Horrible Histories and Splash Test Dummies, there’s enough family fun for everyone. For the thrill seekers, there’s Extreme Bike Battles, roller discos, mega skate ramps and even a Red Devil’s parachute display!

Elsewhere on the 15th birthday extravaganza, families can expect appearances across the festival site from Fearne Cotton, Caity Baser, Todd Terry, Goldie Lookin Chain, DJ Rap, Hot Dub Time Machine, Roni Size, Mr Motivator, Stereo MC’s, Fake Bush, Elvana – Elvis Fronted Nirvana and The Bootleg Beatles as well as many, many more.

A festival inside the festival, Caravanserai will transport festival-goers to another world, from trapeze artists to brass bands and everything in between – no trip to Camp Bestival is complete without a visit!

A festival for every family, Camp Bestival has entertained crowds for 15 years with genre-spanning line-ups combined with circus spectacles from the incredibly talented Cirque Bijou who will return with an incredible show for 2023, “All You Need Is Love”, comedy, activities, firework finales as well as a dedicated Slow Motion wellbeing area filled with everything from yoga to ice baths – all located in the beautiful, spacious environment of Lulworth Castle. This year, the space will be transformed into a magical menagerie for the whole family to let their inner animals shine with an all-new ‘Animal Snap’ theme announced last month. Tying in with the animal theme, Camp Bestival will also partner with World Wildlife Fund (WWF) for 2023’s edition of the festival.

2023 will also mark the second year of Camp Bestival Shropshire (17 – 20 August 2023); a stand-alone sister festival to Camp Bestival Dorset taking place in Weston Park in August, with a particular focus on Nature and Wellbeing with Paddleboarding, Slow Motion Area, yoga and lots more – watch this space for a bigger and better Camp Bestival Shropshire 2023!
